Job Title: Air Freight Logistics Coordinator

Location: Carson, CA

Work hour: 9:00 am- 6:00 pm

FLSA: Non-Exempt, Full-Time, Direct Hire

OVERVIEW
A global logistics and freight forwarding company in Carson, CA, is seeking a dedicated Air Freight Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This role focuses primarily on air export coordination, with occasional involvement in imports. The ideal candidate will handle diverse tasks, including client and vendor communication, shipment tracking, inventory checks, and profitability analysis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
Manage air export and import processes, including booking with airlines, arranging pickups and deliveries, and tracking shipment progress.
Prepare and handle essential import/export documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Determine appropriate packaging for goods, including perishable and hazardous items.
Provide prompt and effective support to clients throughout the process, addressing inquiries and concerns.
Utilize tracking systems to monitor shipment movements and proactively update customers.
Identify and resolve potential issues or delays, minimizing disruptions and escalating to Supervisors as needed.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices, recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by Management.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 2 year of experience in air export freight forwarding (required).
Knowledge and understanding of TS and HAZMAT.
Proactive mindset with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Familiarity with air import processes and/or experience with GoFreight software is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and basic computer skills.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position.
