Great Opportunity for Veterans Career Advancement Opportunities Available Compensation: Hourly Rate: $35.09 Health & Welfare: $5.10/hour Pension Contribution: $1.30/hour Ideal Candidate Qualifications: Background in law enforcement or military service (honorable discharge required) Minimum of 3 years of experience in armed security Please note: This position involves an extensive background investigation process, which may take several months to complete. Armed Security Officer – Responsibilities Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons Greet guests and employees, assist where appropriate; escort visitors and contractors; secure ingress and egress points; secure classified information Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders, report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication; interact with client and/or other security personnel regarding order execution when appropriate Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergency situations and provide first aid as necessary Qualifications (Must Have) High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment Minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state) Excellent communication skills; able to articulate and write clear and concise incident or situation reports Able to complete all range qualifications and functions Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field Benefits Health insurance and 401k plans for full-time positions Schedules that fit with your personal life goals Ongoing paid training programs and career growth opportunities Employee discounts through our perks program to restaurants, entertainment venues and more Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
