Job Title: AVP, Trader (Bulk Desk)
Location: CA - Westlake Village
What you'll do: The AmeriHome AVP, Trader (Bulk Desk) is responsible for the firm's bidding and trading operational workflows for the correspondent bulk acquisition channel. Primary responsibilities include managing the tape cracking process, ensuring bids are sent on time, the confirmation process and day over day monitoring and reporting activities. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of both mortgage capital markets and client facing experience or have an advanced degree in a related field such as a master's in finance or MBA. This position offers a great opportunity to expand on your knowledge of mortgage loan pricing and execution strategies at the top bank owned originator in the country.
- Process bids and trade execution, which includes: monitoring incoming bid tapes and tape cracking process, confirming bids are correct and sent on time, processing trade confirmations, and working directly with clients to resolve any bidding or trading issues.
- Analyze bid and margin performance across multiple dimensions.
- Report bidding and trade execution performance.
- Accountable for maintaining client relationships working closely with internal sales team.
What you'll need: - 3+ years of related experience in Residential Mortgage Lending, Capital Markets or similar field, or 1+ years of related experience with an advanced degree, such as MBA or Master's in Finance, Master or similar field.
- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- Intermediate knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending including; sales, operations, capital markets and/or other residential mortgage products and services.
- Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Advanced Excel.
- Entry level to intermediate SQL.
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $107,395.00 - $126,000.00 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned.
