DeRomo's Gourmet Market & Restaurant is a popular, busy, authentic Italian marketplace in Bonita Springs . We are currently seeking a Bakery Clerk to join our Market Team. Hours for this position are 12PM - 6PM Monday - Friday .

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensure that customers receive excellent customer service and that excellent customer relations are maintained
• Prepare all new product for the day as per DeRomo's Gourmet Market & Restaurant standards
• This would include pricing, coding of product, wrapping, and to ensure that the integrity is sound of the POS material
• Remove from the sales area all old product, filling out the production sheets, and cleaning of the display cases (windows included) .
• Stock and display merchandise as per company standards
• Service customers and maintain the DeRomo's Gourmet Market & Restaurant courtesy at all times

• May assist with proofing and baking as well as cake decorating
• Take bakery orders as per company standards, filling out the order forms accurately
• Maintain department sanitation, which includes cleaning, cases, and work area, utensils and emptying garbage
• Follow safety and health regulations at all times which includes proper use of equipment, wearing gloves, hats, proper refrigeration and temperature, and sanitation
• Any additional functions as assigned by department manager or store manager
• Assist any department when recognized or called upon to do so

Required Skills and Experience:

• Previous bakery or food service experience helpful
• Good customer courtesy and communication skills
• Able to work with knives, scales and wrapping machines
• Able to handle lifting, cleaning, and able to work with ovens in the heat
• Able to follow written and verbal assignments
• Display high level of integrity and reliability
• Able to maintain company dress code standards
• Must be able to lift and carry 201bs. regularly and 751bs. occasionally
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time
