Housed in the District’s circa-1922 Moore building, the reimagined, nearly 90,000-square-foot space integrates two, four-story structures located at the intersection of NE 40th Street and NE 2nd Avenue, and includes Elastika , the site-specific commission created by the late artist and architect Zaha Hadid for the inaugural Design Miami/ exhibition in 2005. The redevelopment of The Moore is led by boutique hospitality firm and operator, WoodHouse. Founded by entrepreneur Brady Wood, WoodHouse creates, owns and operates experiential concepts, ranging from private clubs, restaurants and hotels to live music and entertainment venues. Position Overview As a Butler at The Moore you will be an integral member of the Hotel team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our members and guests. You will warmly greet and assist them with their requests, anticipate their needs, and ensure a seamless and memorable experience during their stay. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Be a key member of the guest experience from the moment they walk into The Moore till the moment they complete their stay. Collaborate with the front desk team to maintain accurate guest records and preferences. Escort guests to their rooms and provide an orientation of hotel facilities. Coordinate and execute personalized services requested by guests. Take on the role of a room inspector to ensure rooms are prepared according to guest preferences and The Moore standards. Anticipate guests needs as well as potential issues by taking a proactive approach in resolving the problem. Ensure complete guest satisfaction with all requests and guest experience. Collaborate and coordinate with housekeeping, room service, and other hotel departments to fulfill guest requests. Handle guest complaints and concerns effectively, escalating issues as necessary Have an impeccable eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Required Skills/Qualifications: Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry preferred. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of local attractions and services is an advantage. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in hospitality are a plus. Physical Requirements Capability to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
