About the Role
The Chief People & Culture Officer (CPCO) is a member of the executive team, reporting directly to the CEO. The CPCO will shape the organizations culture, talent strategy, and employee experience, ensuring that our values are reflected in people operations.
Responsibilities
- Guide, design, and deliver people and culture strategies aligned with mission and objectives.
- Serve as a thought partner to the CEO on culture, talent strategy, and workforce planning.
- Lead crossfunctional initiatives that embed inclusion and belonging.
- Develop and foster a valuesdriven culture that builds trust, collaboration, and psychological safety.
- Oversee engagement efforts, including surveys, feedback loops, and recognition programs.
- Partner on internal communications to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Build a workforce structure aligned with strategic goals and succession planning.
- Support HR operations, legal compliance, and employee relations.
- Use data and analytics to inform decisionmaking and improve HR practices.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive People & Culture leadership, ideally in an executive role at a 150+ employee organization.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Nonprofit Management, or Organizational Development; Masters preferred.
- SHRMSCP, SPHR, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven track record in organizational development, talent strategy, culture building, and change management.
- Strong strategic vision, collaboration, and datadriven decision making.
- Commitment to inclusion, belonging, and equitable talent systems.
- Knowledge of Jewish culture and traditions preferred.
Benefits & Conditions
Fulltime; some remote work available; MondayFriday schedule with occasional events and programming. The position requires seated or standing use of a computer throughout the day.
