Job Overview This role evaluates, initiates, and maintains all activities related to the conduct of clinical trials in assigned area(s) of responsibility. The position serves as project manager for clinical trials, communicating effectively with external funding agencies and sponsors, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and institutional requirements. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee the regulatory processes related to the evaluation, initiation, maintenance, closure, and audit of clinical trials. Coordinate and oversee patient (study participant) activity in relation to research conduct. Develop and maintain all required documentation for assigned clinical trials and associated patient care. Conduct daily clinical trial activity in accordance with Good Clinical Practice Guidelines. Maintain competency in requirements and regulations associated with clinical trials and research activity. Support departmental, division, and institutional goals. Remain knowledgeable on current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensure compliance with all such laws, regulations, and standards. Comply with the Ochsner Health System Compliance & Privacy Program and Standards of Conduct. Report any known or suspected unethical or questionable behaviors or conduct promptly. Education High School diploma or equivalent (Required). Work Experience 3 years of relevant research experience in a clinical setting (Required). OR 2 years of relevant research experience in a clinical setting with ACRP or SOCRA certification. Certifications Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 60 days of hire. Exceptions will be granted for those in fully remote status. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs) Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information; proficiency with Windows-style applications and keyboard. Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals in the patient care process. Proficiency with Windows-style applications and various software packages specific to the role. Physical & Environmental Demands Medium work – may require exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
