The Position:
Richards is now seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-oriented CNC Operator. This business is comprised of the Jordan Valve, Low Flow, Steriflow, Steriflow Food & Beverage, Marwin, Hex, and Bestobell product lines. The CNC Operator will report directly to the Production Manager.
He or she will be responsible for the following:
\n - Machine Operation/production
\n - Load/unload parts within qualified time given
\n - Must be able to distinguish and identify proper tooling/collects/fixtures and jaws for efficient set-up
\n - Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability.
\n - Observes machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometer and dial caliper. Adjust machine to control part process.
\n - Post edits CNC program to fine tune process for optimum performance with assistance of a CNC Op/Programmer, lead person or programmer; submit changes to programmer
\n - Able to perform "first-piece" in-process inspection
\n - Machine set up
\n - Continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications Include:
\n - High school diploma or equivalent
\n - 2 years of CNC machining experience
\n - General PC knowledge
\n - Knowledge of AS400 system
\n - Knowledge of CNC Turning/Mill Machine
\n - Capable of handling 50 lb. to 200 lb. valve bodies with the assistance of hand trucks, lifts, conveyors, and hoists.
\n - The ability to stand for long periods up to eight or more hours at a time.
\n - Ability to work weekends and overtime when scheduled.
