Position Overview
A leading professional services organization is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager (Provisions) to join its corporate tax practice. In this role, you will work with clients across diverse industries on business income tax planning, corporate compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting (provision preparation and audit support).
This position offers the opportunity to manage multiple client engagements, collaborate with experienced tax professionals, and gain exposure to complex tax issues for large, multi-state, national, and global companies. • Manage client engagements from planning through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Review corporate tax returns, identify tax savings opportunities, and ensure accuracy.
• Lead ASC 740 income tax provision projects, including preparation and review.
• Research and consult on various tax matters, including state, local, and international issues.
• Respond to inquiries from federal, state, and local tax authorities.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring effective communication and service delivery.
• Participate in professional development and training to remain current on tax regulations and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Active CPA (NY or NJ) OR Juris Doctorate .
• 4-7 years of progressive tax compliance and/or consulting experience.
• Strong ASC 740 provision experience (preparation, review, and audit).
• Recent public accounting experience with a Top 15 firm .
• Must have corporate tax experience in supporting large, multi-state/national/global companies.
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and corporate income tax laws/regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client service skills.
• Ability to work on-site at least 2 days per week.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ONESOURCE Tax Provision software.
• Prior experience in professional services/public accounting.
• Demonstrated success with complex, multi-jurisdictional tax issues.
• Stable career progression without frequent short-term job changes.
