Job Title: Crane Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team, operating a 40–60 ton fixed cab crane on various construction sites in Delaware City, DE. The ideal candidate will have experience working with mechanical contractors and hold a valid NCCCO certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 40–60 ton fixed cab crane to lift, move, and position materials and equipment.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and ensure the crane is in safe working condition.
• Collaborate closely with riggers, signal persons, and site supervisors to execute lifts safely and efficiently.
• Interpret lift plans, load charts, and site layouts.
• Maintain accurate records of crane operations and maintenance.
• Adhere to all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety protocols.

Essential Skills

• Valid NCCCO certification for fixed cab crane operation.
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating cranes in a construction environment.
• Strong understanding of crane load charts and rigging techniques.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with mechanical contractors or on mechanical construction projects.
• Additional certifications in rigging or signaling.

Work Environment

The work environment involves fast-paced construction sites, often outdoors or in partially enclosed areas. The role requires working near heavy machinery, elevated platforms, and in confined spaces, with the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
