Provincial Electrical Inc. is a well-established electrical contracting company specializing in Design Build, Plan & Spec in Commercial, Light Industrial, and Institutional projects. Based in Edmonton our projects take us throughout Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan. With a strong reputation for quality workmanship and reliability, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our estimating department.
What we are looking for:
A highly skilled Electrical Estimator with at least 3 years experience in Accubid. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of Accubid’s full capabilities and be able to accurately and confidently estimate various electrical projects with precision and efficiency.
As the lead estimator, you will be working closely with project managers and senior leadership. Reviewing tender opportunities making strategic decisions on which projects Provincial Electrical should pursue.
You will be in charge of the complete estimate, responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and profitable bids, while maintaining strong relationships with our Clients, Suppliers, and Manufacturer’s.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ You will be proficient in Accubid and use it with speed, efficiency, and accuracy.
✔ Take full ownership of the estimating process
✔ Prepare & Submit Estimates: Develop detailed, competitive, and profitable bids for various projects up to $10M.
✔ Client & Vendor Communication: Work directly with clients, suppliers, and vendors, to ensure precise cost estimation.
✔ Project Handover: Assist in transitioning successful bids into live projects, working with project managers and field teams.
Stay Updated: Keep up with industry trends, material costs, and best practices to ensure accuracy and competitiveness in all bids.
What We’re Looking For:
Extremely Organized with Excellent Communication Skills: Comfortable liaising with clients, suppliers, and our internal team to ensure precise, profitable bidding.
Proficient in Accubid : This is critical, you will be extremely knowledgeable in Accubid!
Electrical Estimating Experience: Plan & Spec and DB with Minimum 3 years experience estimating, in the Commercial, Light Industrial sector.
Project Size Experience: Proven ability to accurately estimate various size projects.
Strong Initiative & Leadership: Ability to take charge, lead the estimating department.
