Equipment Operator/Site Manager Job Description

General Information

Location of work: Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne County Work week: Monday through Friday and Saturday when needed.

Working Hours: 8 am start time - Employees are required to be on-site or in the office during working hours.

Dress: Collard Shirt/Jeans, company apparel will be provided at no cost.

PTO & Paid Sick Days: 13 combined days active after 90-day probationary period

*PTO notice must be emailed a minimum of two weeks in advance.

Specific Responsibilities

• Operate Excavating Equipment for land clearing, basement digging, grading work
• Maintain professional demeanor with customers and vendors. Equal professionalism is expected with workers and laborers.
• Be present at each project on a daily basis.
• Manage each project in a clean and organized manner at ALL TIMES. (Especially Water management set up to avoid standing water/unnecessary mud)
• Maintain the quality & timeliness of each project.
• Maintain a list of raw materials needed in advance of each project.
• Inspect Equipment and identify upcoming needed maintenance.
• Review & know the details of each project's site plans, blueprints, drawings, ano specifications.
• Complete change order forms and submit to the office for pricing and customer signoff.
• Review change orders once they've been signed by the customer..

• Update tracking sheet/daily logs. (collecting data for analysis and improving costing

Interview and recommend capable new hires

Failure to meet or exceed any of the daily duties will result in a performance review. After three performance reviews a performance improvement plan will be put in place. If the plan is not followed, employment will be terminated.
