Manager of Finance – Growth & Strategy Focus

We are partnering with a large, privately held manufacturer that is entering an exciting growth phase, expanding through acquisitions and new ventures. This is a highly visible Manager of Finance role on a strategic team that supports both the CFO and President with analysis for M&A due diligence and long-term business planning.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, can build and work within financial models, and enjoys turning numbers into actionable recommendations. The company offers excellent benefits, strong mentorship, and a clear path to leadership opportunities across the business. You’ll report directly to an experienced Director and lead one Analyst.

Strategic & Project Work (70%)

  • Support M&A due diligence, business strategy initiatives, and special projects such as new facility start-ups, joint ventures, and long-term supply negotiations.
  • Build and refine financial models to guide decision-making on profitability, capital investments, contract structures, and innovation.
  • Contribute to quarterly board materials and long-range strategic planning.
  • Track macroeconomic trends, competitor performance, and company risk to inform leadership decisions.
  • Partner with IT and cross-functional teams to improve processes, enhance tools, and deliver more value across the organization.

Financial Reporting & Planning (30%)

  • Drive month-end reporting and variance analysis with a finance perspective, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Compile forecast and plan inputs including standard costs, raw material costs, and pricing.
  • Provide oversight of forecasting and budgeting processes, collaborating with multiple teams to validate assumptions and reach consensus.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting, investment banking, M&A, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate numbers into a compelling story.
  • Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis.
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, adaptable mindset.
