We’re looking for a Finance professional (Finance Manager) to help scale our rapidly growing game studio. This role is responsible for accounting, financial planning, and operational reporting across multiple game projects. You’ll build financial visibility into which games and teams are most profitable, manage bookkeeping and payroll, and create reports that guide business strategy.

This is a part-time or fractional role that may scale into a full-time position as the company grows.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and bookkeeping , ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage payroll for contractors and employees
• Create and maintain BI dashboards and financial reports to track revenue, expenses, and profitability by project/team
• Work with QuickBooks (or equivalent) to manage financial systems
• Build clear visibility into which games/projects are most profitable and which require financial restructuring
• Forecast revenue and expenses, providing strategic recommendations to leadership
• Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements (U.S. preferred)
• Collaborate with leadership on fundraising, investment decks, and financial planning

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in finance, accounting, or CFO/Controller roles (gaming/entertainment industry preferred)
• Strong experience with QuickBooks Online (required)
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting standards
• Ability to design BI dashboards (Google Data Studio, Power BI, or similar)
• Experience with payroll systems (Gusto, Rippling, ADP, or similar)
• Analytical mindset — able to present profitability insights clearly
• Strong communication skills
• CPA or CFA certification is a plus
