Position

Lead Architect is responsible for designing and guiding the implementation of enterprise-grade digital productivity and collaboration solutions, with a focus on Microsoft 365 services and generative AI technologies. This role drives innovation, scalability, and user-centric design across platforms to enhance workforce efficiency and engagement.

Leads the architecture, and development of public and private cloud solutions, including impacts to enterprise architecture and delivery of cloud strategies, that are aligned with business objectives. Implements the migration of platforms to cloud. Ensures reliability and security requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Architect and oversee integrated solutions leveraging Microsoft 365 (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Power Platform) and generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Azure OpenAI).
• Define technical strategy and roadmaps for digital workplace transformation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align solutions with business goals and user needs.
• Establish governance, security, and compliance frameworks for collaboration platforms.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
• Lead solution design reviews, technical assessments, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Develop standards, frameworks, patterns, and processes to benefit existing stakeholders.
• Communicate with key stakeholders, industry experts, and technical peers to understand technology and business requirements, industry trends and the broader architecture landscape.
• Develop and communicate the technical architecture direction and roadmap for cloud capabilities.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the current cloud platform and proactively lead the analysis of the technology environment to detect deficiencies, gaps, and opportunities; prioritize, initiate and implement technology efforts to address these opportunities.
• Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives.
• Provide guidance related to cloud automation and CI/CD capabilities.
• Ensure solutions comply with architectural standards.
• Collaborate with security architecture and information security to ensure integrity of solutions and meet enterprise standards and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

Education/Experience

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and 5 7 years of related experience, or equivalent experience through applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Cloud Computing Security; DevOps; Microsoft 365; Microsoft Azure; Generative AI
• Knowledge of software design patterns and enterprise architectural styles (Microservices, Broker, Serverless, etc.)
• Knowledge of cloud hosting services with high security, plus database technologies and distributed cache management
• Copilot Integration Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, custom Copilot solutions
• Prompt Engineering for LLMs
• AI Model Integration Using APIs from OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or other providers
• Automation & Workflow Design including RPA tools and AI-enhanced workflows

Pay and Benefits

Pay range: $119,100.00$220,500.00 per year.

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on individual skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may include additional incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
