Position Overview: Nalu Federal seeks a dependable and detail-oriented Mail Clerk to manage mailroom operations in support of a tri-service military training organization at NCTC Gulfport. The position requires a thorough understanding of U.S. Postal Service regulations (DOD 4525.6-M) and the ability to handle sensitive mail securely and efficiently, including mail containing Privacy Act and Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate daily mail transportation, collection, and distribution operations.
• Process incoming and outgoing official, unofficial, and transient mail/packages.
• Maintain accurate chain of custody for registered, certified, and special mail items.
• Train service personnel on proper mail handling and security procedures.
• Prepare and manage postal forms including claims, registered mail inquiries, and return receipt documents.
• Coordinate internal courier services across NCTC headquarters and supporting facilities.
• Maintain proper documentation for hold mail and forwarded mail for transferred staff/students.
• Support MyPay PIN reset operations for student personnel.
• Liaise with the Construction Battalion Center (CBC) for continuous improvement of mail services.

Required Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of U.S. Postal Regulations (DOD 4525.6-M) and postal handling protocols.
• Experience in handling and protecting Privacy Act/PII-sensitive materials.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and maintain records with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physically able to handle mail sorting and transport duties.
