AFTER MASTERING THE GAS STATION AND CONVENIENCE STORE BUSINESS IN TEXAS AND PERFECTING THEIR FAMOUS BBQ, OUR FOUNDERS MOVED TO LAKE CHARLES TO BRING THEIR SPECIAL SAUCE TO SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA AND BEYOND.

What We Are Looking For: Maintenance Techs (Lafayette, Scott, Broussard, Carencro, Duson)

Our growing company is looking for experienced Maintenance Techs. A Maintenance Tech is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of buildings, POS, fueling, food service and fountain equipment. Position requires the operation of a company vehicle. Must be a self-starter and be self-motivated to serve our stores with great attention.

Grab-N-Geaux Maintenance Tech:

• Maintains structure by performing light electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry repairs and installations
• Maintain, repair and replace Point-Of-Sale equipment
• Maintain, repair and replace store electronic systems
• Maintain, repair and replace components of the fueling equipment
• Maintain and repair fountain equipment
• Maintain and repair food service equipment including
• Maintain and repair hot and cold drink equipment
• Facilitates repairs by contacting service and supply vendors for materials
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs
• Participate in training for existing and new equipment

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

• Other duties as assigned or deemed necessary

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must have the manual dexterity to operate equipment, work in confined spaces, able to use hand/electric cart, able to use power and hand tools, required crouching and/or crawling, able to use a ladder, and must be able to lift 80 lbs.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing priorities and ability to work independently
• 3-5 years’ experience in the General Maintenance field
• Requires driving a company vehicle to different store locations throughout the division which include but are not limited to the geographic areas listed above

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at a normal range. The lighting will include natural light from the outside as well as fluorescent lighting throughout the work areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15-$20 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay

• Lake Charles, LA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
