Join Trane Technologies as a Manufacturing Engineer in Columbia, SC! In this role, you will operate innovative engineered systems and develop, coordinate, and implement sustainable manufacturing production processes. Your cross-functional team will be focused on delivering quality, safety, and operational efficiency improvements.

Where is the work:

• On-Site (5 days) at our Columbia, SC facility. This role is considered safety-sensitive.

\n

What you will do:

\n
• Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
\n
• Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations.
\n
• Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.
\n
• Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.
\n
• Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.
\n
• Serve as a voice of the customer for input for new design development.
\n
• Partner with on-site EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).

What you will bring:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
\n
• PFMEA experience preferred
\n
• Ability to accurately assess manufacturing issues related to process and design
\n
• Effective communication at multiple levels coupled with ability to build relationships.
\n
• Growth mindset - desire to expand technical skillset.
\n
• Results-driven to maintain accountability and customer-focus
\n
• Degree preferred in Engineering or related technical disciplines
\n
• We prioritize practical experience and relevant skills. Candidates without a degree are encouraged to apply.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $59,000-100,000/annually

Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
