Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse

SurgCenter Dunedin is hiring an Operating Room Circulator. SurgCenter Dunedin is a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center in Dunedin, Florida. Our state-of-the-art equipment allows surgeons to perform procedures in the specialty areas of: Orthopedic Surgery, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Spine, Urology.

The Registered Nurse Circulator provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The Circulating RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS, ACLS, or PALS as required by the center
• A minimum of 1 year experience working as a Circulator
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment

Required Experience:

• Current Florida Nursing License
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum 2 year experience in an ASC/Hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Knowledgeable of policies and procedures specific to the operating room.
• Clinically proficient in OR nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
