Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Product Developer to lead the creation of innovative, high-quality food products that align with current market trends. This role combines creativity, technical expertise, and a strong understanding of food science and production processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams; including sales, production, and quality assurance to conceptualize, formulate, and refine products for national retailers and CPG brands. Your contributions will directly influence our ability to remain competitive and deliver exceptional products to market.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop new food products by blending culinary arts and food science in partnership with customers.
Gather data for new product and ingredient specifications.
Create and refine recipes to meet taste, nutritional, and cost requirements.
Conduct sensory evaluations internally and externally with customers.
Support sales with product samples and presentations.
Manage the stage-gate process for product development and maintain R&D project status updates.
Oversee production trials at the manufacturing facility and direct lab staff on development priorities.

Qualifications:

Degree in Food Science or equivalent industry experience.
Strong knowledge of food science, ingredients, and nutrition.
Experience with TraceGains and ESHA applications.
Creative, innovative mindset with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in project management and computer applications.
