Essential Expertise and Scope of Work

The Senior QA Engineer will be an expert-level individual contributor, ensuring product quality, stability, and reliability through comprehensive testing strategies aligned with business value.

1. Automation and Performance Testing (5+ Years Required)

• UI Automation: Expert-level proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium and related frameworks (5 years required).
• Performance/Load: Expert-level proficiency in conducting performance and load testing using JMeter (5 years required).
• API Testing: Expert-level proficiency in conducting API testing (5 years required).
• Programming Foundation: Familiarity with Java programming for automation scripting and knowledge of modern web browsers during hands-on evaluations.

2. Data Validation and Backend Testing

• SQL: Expert-level proficiency in writing and executing complex SQL queries (Oracle & MSSQL) for data validation and backend testing (5 years required).
• Manual Testing: Expert-level proficiency in Manual Testing (5 years required), with the ability to determine when automation versus manual testing is most appropriate.
• Defect Management: Collaborate with developers and product teams to identify, document, and resolve defects; conduct regression testing.

3. Methodology and Advanced Concepts

• Methodology: Solid understanding of SDLC , Agile/SAFe methodologies , and testing best practices.
• Individual Contributor: Comfortable working as an individual contributor with 80% of time spent on test case development, execution, and defect documentation.
• Preferred Concepts (Desired):
  • Experience with Docker container development and testing (containerization).
  • Familiarity with AppDynamics (application performance monitoring).
  • Knowledge of Linux administration (RHEL) , Maven , and Apache .
  • Awareness of infrastructure dependencies and ability to design tests that reflect real-world usage scenarios.
