Responsibilities

  • Validate and oversee the creation and usage of complex financial risk management models covering mortgages, capital markets, and wealth management areas.
  • Collaborate with multiple business lines and Model Risk Management through the model development cycle, performing data analysis, testing, documentation verification, benchmarking, creation and coding of challenger models, implementation testing and verification, and monitoring.
  • Deliver written reports covering validation reviews, identify risk concerns, and present outcomes to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a quantitative field, and five or more years of relevant experience.
  • MA/MS in a quantitative field, and three or more years of related experience.
  • PhD in a quantitative field, and less than two years of related experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge of fixed income and derivative valuation.
  • Knowledge of regression techniques, parametric and non-parametric algorithms, time series techniques, a broad range of statistical models, and model validation tests/methodologies using Python, R, SAS or similar tools.
  • Data compilation, programming, and qualitative analysis skills.
  • Understanding of quantitative and qualitative risk factors, industry risks, competition risks, and risk management approaches.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks across timelines; strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated independence, teamwork, and leadership skills; effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.

Note: This role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, with in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and flexibility to work outside the office location for other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location listed. The actual range may differ by location. Pay range: $111,095.00 - $130,700.00. U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive programs and retirement plans.
