Akin Hills Pet Hospital located in Farmington, MN, is looking for a full-time or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team in our newly expanded and updated facility.

Akin Hills Pet Hospital is a privately owned, AAHA-Accredited, small animal veterinary clinic located in Farmington, MN. We have been serving the Farmington and south metro region for over 30 years. Our clinic practices high quality medicine with use of our IDEXX in house lab suite, digital full body and dental radiographs, diagnostic ultrasound and utilize mobile veterinary specialists to offer complete care.
Minimum Education and Desired Skill Set
* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree
* General wellness and sick pet exams
* Appropriate diagnostic and treatment selection
* Excellent communication skills and knowledge of animal behavior
* Self-motivated
* Ability to display empathy and compassion to pets, their owners and co-workers
* DVMs are allowed to practice with freedom and are encouraged to bring in new ideas, approaches and skill sets.

Salary range: $110,000- $150,000 + ProSal (no negative accrual)
CE (Continuing Education) Opportunities:
We are able to offer in-house CE opportunities through our reference lab, local specialists and also utilize VetGirl and Think Anesthesia for additional CE opportunities. All support staff are welcome to attend the in-house CE opportunities to help build their knowledge base. Associate DVMs and all team members are encouraged to share their knowledge and bring in ideas for additional CE opportunities. Our area also offers a wide variety of CE opportunities at our local specialty hospitals. Associate DVMs are encouraged to attend CE meetings locally or nationally in their areas of interest. A generous CE stipend is offered to help cover CE and associated costs.

Our clinic is located on the northern edge of Farmington, bordering the Lakeville, Apple Valley, Rosemount and Eagan suburbs.
