Social Media Intern Summary Mortensons Strategic Marketing Team is seeking a creative, motivated, and digitally engaged individual to fill the role of Social Media Intern. The intern will help in ideation, creation, and implementation of social media content from across the entire company. The individual in this role will collaborate with other team members, such as communications creators, regional office marketers, innovation specialists, and talent acquisition teams. You'll support the Digital Team by gaining an understanding of Mortensons services, offerings, teams, audiences, and customers and translating the goals of all stakeholders into relatable, on brand social media content. Responsibilities Highlights of your work with Mortenson will include: Brainstorming post ideas for our platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTubeCapturing content on local job sites and at headquarters Writing captions for postsHelping organize our content calendarCollaborating with team members from across the company to curate a diverse perspective on our platform Implementing fully formed content for campaignsLearning about paid and organic media planning as well as content constructionAnswering questions and giving feedback in our message inboxes Creating fun and sharable images, gifs, and various motion graphics content Basic Qualifications We look forward to hearing from you if you: Currently pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in Communications, Marketing or related field Preferred Qualifications Have achieved a minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 Have experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Demonstrate strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and problem-solving skills Have proven positive and professional attitude and customer service skills Are detail-oriented, organized, and can effectively manage multiple tasks Have access to reliable transportation Have a demonstrated passion for social media and desire to expand your skills Have familiarity with graphic design software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.) and Sketch Possess skills in copywriting, knowledge of current trends and a passion for visual storytelling. Have previous internship experience or relevant work experience Have knowledge of video and/or animation software Additional Information You will join an exciting and ever-changing industry with a minimum 12-week internship with our team. This opportunity is full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer of 2026. The internship is based at our Minneapolis headquarters office.?The position is not relocation-assistance eligible.? The hourly wage for college Interns starts at $18.00. Students in their sophomore year of college, or more, are paid higher wages based on their year in school. Please make note:??
