ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Nutex Health is seeking a talented Website Developer to support our company's continued growth and digital expansion. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress-based websites with a strong emphasis on technical SEO, performance, and security. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in both back-end development and front-end functionality, ensuring our platforms are scalable, user-friendly, and search-engine optimized. As part of our expanding organization, you will collaborate across teams—including design, content, and IT—to deliver reliable, innovative web solutions that align with Nutex Health’s mission and evolving needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites with an emphasis on scalability, performance, and user experience.
• Implement technical SEO best practices, including schema markup, optimized site architecture, sitemaps, redirects, and canonical tags.
• Monitor and enhance site performance, speed, and uptime while ensuring robust security against malware, brute force, and injection attacks.
• Manage WordPress databases (MySQL/MariaDB) and collaborate with hosting providers or cloud platforms for stable and efficient environments.
• Integrate websites with third-party systems such as CRM, analytics, and APIs to extend functionality and support company growth.
• Work cross-functionally with design, content, IT, and marketing teams to deliver cohesive digital experiences aligned with Nutex Health’s mission.
• Maintain development environments, backups, and recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
• Regularly report on technical SEO, site health, and performance improvements.
• Translate technical concepts into clear communication for non-technical team members and leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3+ years of professional experience in WordPress development with strong skills in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.
• Proven ability to build custom themes, plugins, and functionality without relying solely on prebuilt solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of technical SEO principles and familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
• Experience with website performance optimization techniques, caching, CDNs, and image compression.
• Familiarity with web security best practices, monitoring, and recovery.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, integrations, and cloud hosting environments.
• Preferred: exposure to modern frameworks (React, Next.js, or similar) and database management in staging/production environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
