Salary:

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the Youth Director role is to oversee the Youth Ministry of Journey Church while operating as High School Pastor.

Key Responsibilities:

Youth Director Responsibilities:

• Own the spiritual growth and discipleship of students across all Journey campuses.
• Lead, develop, and care for Youth Staffequipping them to lead with confidence and excellence.
• Champion and reinforce Journeys culture and values within the youth ministry.
• Build and implement systems, policies, and structures that drive student engagement across campuses.
• Provide strategic leadership through team meetings, budget management, teaching calendar development, etc.
• Teach at weekly services (12 times per month).

High School Ministry Responsibilities:

• Build meaningful relationships with high school students to help them grow in their faiththrough weekly gatherings, Sunday mornings, school clubs, events, and personal connections.
• Lead, develop, and care for high school volunteer teamsequipping them to serve with excellence.
• Plan and execute engaging, high-impact weekly gatherings for high school students.
• Lead and grow the high school student leadership program.
• Lead volunteer huddles and teach regularly at weekly gatherings (23 times per month).
• Maintain consistent and effective communication with students, parents, and leaders via text, social media, and email.

AdditionalResponsibilities:

• Communicate and create clarity around the values of Journey Churchs culture within Journey Youth.
• Collaborate with the Kids Director and Young Adults Director to oversee the Next Gen Department.
• Partner with Youth Coordinators to recruit new leaders for Sunday mornings.
• Promote and serve at church-wide ministry events.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership.

Sunday Responsibilities:

• Lead Dream Team Huddles as requested by the Campus Pastor
• Deliver stage announcements as requested by the Campus Pastor
• Provide oversight and leadership for Overflow on Sundays as needed

Qualifications / Experience:

• Strong communicator and interpersonal skills
• Critical thinker
• Highly organized in time, material, and people resources
• Skilled in managing projects
• Capability to handle multiple projects effectively
• Experience in organizing multiple people.
• Organized; flexible; able to Multitask

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This role supervises theYouth Staff and Youth Dream Team members
