Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to support the finance team in managing accounting operations, financial reporting, and analysis. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting knowledge and analytical skills who enjoys working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Role Overview:
The Accounting Analyst will assist with all aspects of accounting, reporting, and preparation of financial packages in accordance with US GAAP and statutory standards. This includes account reconciliations, month-end close activities, and branch- or company-level budgeting and forecasting. The role also supports management with data-driven insights to guide financial decisions.

• Prepare profit and loss statements and other internal financial reports.
• Analyze and prepare supporting schedules for journal entries in a timely manner.
• Assist in maintaining the chart of accounts, general ledger, and accounting policies while ensuring compliance with established procedures.
• Perform detailed financial analysis and present findings to finance leadership.
• Evaluate trends, budgets, costs, revenues, and obligations to forecast future financial performance.
• Collaborate on budgeting, reporting, and forecasting against prior periods and plans.
• Support ad hoc finance projects and other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience in insurance accounting preferred; public accounting experience and CPA/advanced degree a plus.
• Strong background in financial accounting, annual statements, and reporting preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Hyperion or similar) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of reinsurance, international finance, or related areas is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail, professional communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
