Job Description

Salary: $510 / Week Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking multiple Behavior Technicians for K-12 schools in Arden, Carmicheal, Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, Gold River, and Orangevale, CA. Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with students who receive special education or related services, have a 504 plan, or with students in a Special Education Classroom. Some cases include: + Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) + Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDDNOS) + Childhood Disintegrative Disorder (CDD) + Cerebral Palsy + Down Syndrome + Various birth disorders + ADD/ADHD + Learning disabilities + Other Location: Sacramento, CA Schedule: Monday-Friday (5-6 hours a day between the hours of 7:30am and 3:30pm) + Part-time options available Pay: $18 to $23 an hour (varies based on experience) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Follow the instructions of the BCBA/program supervisor + Provide behavior assistance/interventions to assigned clients + Provide behavior support services + Provide crisis intervention + Implement behavior plans + Provide administrative support to teachers + Monitor child development + Prepare educational materials + Collect and analyze data on student behavior and progress + Provide academic assistance + Assist with mobility and daily activities + Offer social support and help with social skills development + Perform other duties as assigned/necessary Minimum Requirements: + Must be at least 18 years of age + High School diploma or equivalent required + Current CPR certification (we can help you sign up for a class) + Mast have access to cell phone with Wifi + Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required + TB test required (if you do not have one from within the last 90 days, we can set one up for you) + Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: + Competitive pay & weekly paychecks + Health, dental, vision, and life insurance + 401(k) savings plan + Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
