About the Role:
Rain Drains LLC is growing fast, and we’re looking for a skilled Machinery Operator with experience in trenching, grading, and precise earthwork. You’ll operate high-quality equipment to dig accurate trenches, shape terrain, and support drainage installations that deliver on our promise: Smart Solutions. Dry Results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators, skid steers, trenchers, and grading equipment on residential and commercial job sites
• Dig drainage and utility trenches to exact depth, slope, and alignment standards
• Perform fine grading and earth shaping to ensure proper water flow
• Assist with installing drainage systems, sump pump setups, and general site grading
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
• Read site plans, use laser levels/grade rods, and maintain measurement accuracy
• Keep job sites clean, safe, and customer-ready
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and represent Rain Drains professionally

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in trenching, grading, and operating excavation equipment
• Strong understanding of slopes, elevations, and drainage flow
• Able to work safely in residential environments and around utilities
• Experience hauling equipment with trailers (preferred but not required)
• Valid driver’s license required
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently when needed

Preferred Experience:

• Background in drainage, excavation, utilities, or land management
• Familiarity with catch basin networks, sump systems, or grading measurements
• Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment upkeep
