Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based occupational therapy role is available in the Chicago, IL area, serving K-12 students. This position involves providing therapeutic support in both specialized special education classrooms and general district programs, addressing the diverse needs of district students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students within A.E.R.O. special education classrooms and member district settings.
• Assess student needs and develop individualized treatment plans to enhance participation and functional skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the educational environment.
• Document progress and communicate effectively with families and team members.
• Adhere to state and federal regulations, maintaining professional standards of practice.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid state occupational therapy license or certification.
• Experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric therapy techniques and school regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
